Remote Control
Course Description
This self-directed, web-based course provides an overview of
Qwest's web-based, on-line order entry, provisioning, and reporting
tool called Remote Control. Remote Control automates switched
and dedicated services provisioning, including ANI, Toll-Free
(8XX), Calling Card, Private Line, Qwest Metro Private Line
(QMPL), Dedicated Toll-Free Origination (DTFO), and Dedicated
Internet Access (DIA) services.
Technical Requirements
To appreciate the full benefits of this training, we recommend:
- Pentium/333 MHz or better
- Windows 98 or higher, 16-bit high color, viewed at 800x600
- 64 MB RAM
- Internet Explorer 5.5 or above
- Netscape 6.0 or above
- Macromedia Flash Player
- Adobe Acrobat Reader
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this training course, you will be able to:
- Define the Remote Control application
- Describe Remote Control's main features
- Explain how to provision orders using Remote Control
- Explain how to check service and order status
- Demonstrate how to use Remote Control's Reporting function
- Explain how to use 8XX Call Plan Modification and Dedicated
8XX Batch Ordering
- Describe Remote Control Enhancements and Order & Billing
Format updates
- Access resources such as GBUS file format, forms, reject
code listing, and business rules.
Prerequisites
NOTE: You will need the most recent version of Adobe
Acrobat Reader to view the pdf files in this course. You also
need to have Shockwave installed on your PC and a sound card
with attached speakers
Audience
The target audience for the training is primarily Qwest national wholesale customers,
resellers, and carriers, but the training is available to anyone
who would like an overview of the subject. We believe this training
will assist you in gaining a better understanding of the product
and processes, and will allow you to be more effective in working
with the Qwest Sales and Service Team.
Course Length
This course takes approximately 8 hours to complete or you can complete specific
modules as time allows.
